Christmasy Holiday thoughts and recipe links

December 8, 2016

Well, I took a bit of a break from food blogging this summer and fall as we moved all over the country working on new business plans and new life plans. With many new projects on the go now, I've feeling very lucky to be able to come home to Vancouver Island for the winter, as well as coming back to Devour & Conquer to chat about food and share some of the recipes and experiences I've come across this year on British Columbia's west coast, in the lush Okanagan Valley and on the Saskatchewan Prairie.

But first and more importantly, it's December and to me that means fun holiday baking, big family dinner cooking and all kinds of treats along the way. Yep, I love ending the year with holiday cheer and the eating of good things, and with 2016 being one hell of a year, I'd say we're all due for one hell of a good feast.

With that in mind, here are some of my favourite holiday recipes and cookbooks to consider for your upcoming festivities. Click on the recipe title or photo to learn how to make any of these tasty treats:

Vodka-Soaked Tipsy Tomatoes

Holiday Stuffing-Stuffed Portabella Mushrooms

Lemon Lovers Shortbread Cookies

Bell Pepper Hummus Trio Appetizer Dips

Candied Ginger & Lemon for Holiday Baking and Garnishes

Epic Holiday Cookbook Review - Butter Celebrates (with my 1st experience making Pannetone)

It's so nice to be back. Happy holiday planning from Devour & Conquer!

Go Back

Looks cool. i'll cook something like this next time. You know, I would like to have something like a nutrition plan just to make it easier for me to live a healthy life.
