Happy Holidays from Devour & Conquer

Wishing all my readers a wonderful festive season filled with good food, friends and family. I'm looking forward to catching up with some family I haven't seen in some time, as well spending some quality time with my husband, son and 'spare son' (Andy's best friend who is spending the holidays with us).

I've been enjoying doing some 'mom' baking - whipped up a batch of Grandma's Gingersnaps from a great recipe I received at our cookie exchange, including two mega G'snaps (the size of dinner plates) for the boys.

I'm also looking forward to our holiday feast. We may go for the Bacon Sage Stuffins recipe for 'stuffin muffins' that I worked out during our recent Turducken review. They're a great personal-sized, unique way to serve stuffing to your guests, and having them pre-portioned for baking ensures that you know in advance that you've got enough for your stuffing-loving friends and family. Not to mention all those crunchy, crispy-baked edges... yum.

It's also the season for festive party drinks, and I am once again loving my Holiday Fireball Mulled Cider recipe. I've made at a few recent parties (so easy and quick), and it's been a big hit with my friends. I've been leaving the Fireball shots on the side for adding to each mug, so designated drivers can enjoy it too.
